Our Story

Toney Janoskie, President Of Janoskie Financial & Associates

Beginning in 1989 I became a stockbroker trading individual stocks for clients. Over three years as a stockbroker I experienced firsthand the volatility and risk associated with owning individual stocks. I discovered there was a glaring need for comprehensive financial plans that would provide asset allocation and diversification to clients’ investments. This motivated me in October of 1993, to become an independent financial advisor through Moors & Cabot, located in Owings Mills, MD. Being independent meant there were no proprietary products or sales quotas that had to be met, and I could give clients unbiased investment advice. This independence was vital in allowing me to provide superior service and focus on my clients’ individual needs.

After growing my client base, and expanding our team of advisors, the next step was to start Janoskie Financial & Associates. In 2001, Janoskie Financial & Associates was founded with the goal of helping individuals and their families manage the financial areas that are important in their lives. We share a lot of the same core beliefs as our clients and demand the same exceptional results. Our team is dedicated to provide honest recommendations and tailored advice for your specific needs. We create personal, multi-generational relationships by conducting face to face meetings, whether at your home or in our office.

After a decade of success, we outgrew our office in Reisterstown and moved to Columbia in 2013, where we reside today.

“Our philosophy is that we owe our existence to our clients. Our core belief is that their successes define our successes. Our goal is to work alongside our clients and be effective investment advisors for them.”

*Asset allocation cannot eliminate the risk of fluctuating prices and uncertain returns. A diversified portfolio does not assure a profit or protect against loss in a declining market.
